Graduate Programs

Full-time and part-time faculty members attached to the Master of Art in Design (MAD) program are all holders of a terminal degree (Ph.Ds. or equivalent) earned from reputable international universities, have a wealth of market experience in their related field of teaching, and are vested into research and publishing their findings and work.

The FBAE is in the process of acquiring AACSB, assuring quality standards in Business programs, and is officially the first Project Management Institute Registered Education Provider (PMI-R.E.P.) Faculty members teaching master courses are holders of Doctorate degrees and publishing in the field of the courses they are teaching or are professionals in the field, thereby creating an impact in the courses.

The major advantage of the M.S .program offered at NDU is the possibility of transferring credits from upper-level undergraduate courses to graduate courses. Holders of a B.E. from a recognized university can apply to transfer up to 18 credits, leaving only 12 credits to be completed at the graduate level, including a 6-credit thesis. The residency period becomes close to one academic year.

The Faculty of Humanities (FH) enjoys an advantageous position in Lebanon’s higher education landscape given its programmatic International Advertising Association (IAA)-accredited Advertising and Marketing degree program, the International Association of Film and Television Schools (CILECT)-accredited Radio-T.V. degree program, and its current preparations for accreditation by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation. Furthermore, the NDU International Film Festival (NDUIFF) performs a variety of cultural and artistic academic projects and activities organized on a global scale. Burgeoning projects enhance the positive image of the FH and NDU in the local, regional, and international arenas.

The Faculty of Law and Political Science (FLPS) not only focuses on theoretical teaching but also delivers the practical dimension. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that a number of graduates today hold managerial level positions in both governmental and nongovernmental Organizations (UN agencies, IMF, etc.). NDU is the only university in Lebanon with departmental membership in the American Political Science Association (APSA).

The FNAS at NDU offers innovative graduate programs that no other universities in Lebanon have: M.S. in Financial Mathematics, M.S. in Actuarial Sciences, M.S. in Industrial Chemistry (unique in Lebanon), and an M.S. in Astrophysics.

NDU graduates are highly trained professionals who have acquired the skills to pursue Ph.Ds. anywhere in the world and in the highest ranked universities, considering the research output quality and the astounding number of publications.
