NDU Shouf Campus is
located on one of the Deir El-Kamar hills, the St. Abda hill. The St.
Abda Monastery is close to the historic city of Deir El-Kamar which is
35 kms from Beirut and just over 900 ms above sea level. It comprises
nice ancient monuments that reflect the region’s rich culture and its
being a central part of Lebanon’s history.
The Shouf region is characterized by a moderate climate,
where one can enjoy beautiful snow scenes during wintertime and a
dazzling green landscape made up of cedar, oak, pine and olive trees
during summertime. It is a peaceful and quiet area that relaxes the mind
and opens up the horizons.
