Programmatic Accreditation

Established Programmatic Accreditation


Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
The Faculty of Engineering (FE) was officially accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology, across the three campuses in 2016 for the following programs: Civil Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In 2022, the FE obtained reaccreditation from ABET, a follow-up to the initial certification in 2016.

 

Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
The Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences was accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET for its Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science in 2016.

 

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics is an accredited member of AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

AACSB accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest-standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn. Accreditation is a voluntary, nongovernmental process that includes a rigorous external review of a school's mission, faculty qualifications, curricula, and ability to provide the highest-quality programs.

 

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics received the formal accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for its Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2018.

 

The International Advertising Association (IAA)

The Department of Media Studies in the Faculty of Humanities received the formal accreditation from the International Advertising Association (IAA) for its Bachelor of Arts program in Advertising and Marketing in 1999, rendering it the only Lebanese university holding this accreditation.

International Association of Film and Television Schools (CILECT)

The Division of Audio Visual Arts in the Faculty of Humanities became a formal member of the International Association of Film and Television Schools in 2017. This is an academic recognition for the superior quality of its programs.


Candidacy for Accreditation


National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB)
The Department of Architecture at the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design  is currently a candidate for accreditation by NAAB. The Department is set to submit its self-study report to the NAAB committee with an official visit to campus soon after, scheduled for 2023.
