Message

The Office of Research and Graduate Studies at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) was established at the beginning of the 2013–2014 academic year to foster a dynamic research environment and oversee graduate programs, including master’s degrees. The office is managed by the Assistant Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies (AVPRGS), who is responsible for:

  • Advancing high-quality research by faculty and graduate students.
  • Engaging undergraduate students in research activities.
  • Overseeing the development and management of graduate (master’s) programs.

Responsibilities of the AVPRGS

The AVPRGS supervises NDU’s Research Centers, ensuring they conduct impactful research that benefits society and contributes to their respective fields. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Managing research funds and allocating them effectively.
  • Processing applications for research-related requests, such as travel, course release, and funding.
  • Serving as the University’s liaison with national and international research organizations, fostering collaborative research initiatives.
  • Ensuring that research activities and graduate programs align with NDU’s mission, vision, and core values.


The AVPRGS is also a permanent member of the University Research Committee (URC) and the University Graduate Committee (UGC), overseeing policies and strategic direction for both research and master’s programs.
