Note from the Chair

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE) Department at Notre Dame University-Louaize.

The ECCE Department is home to 13 faculty members, 5 laboratory instructors, and around 400 students across the 3 branches of the University.

At the undergraduate level, the ECCE Department offers two ABET-accredited Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degrees: a B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering and a B.E. degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. The two programs are designed to provide the students with solid foundations in mathematics, sciences, computer science, laboratory work, practical training, engineering science and, in conformity with the requirements of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects.

At the graduate level, the Department offers a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with specializations in Telecommunication, Networking, Micro-Electronics, Electromagnetics, Renewable Energy, Power Systems and Control.

The pursuit of research excellence is of high importance within the ECCE Department. Our professors have distinguished themselves internationally through novel research publications, as well as participating in conference organization and editorial boards of international journals. Faculty members and students are engaged in research projects in the areas of antenna design, digital signal processing, electromagnetic field computations, energy system optimization, microprocessor / microcontroller system applications, telecommunication, power electronics, VLSI design, and engineering education.
