Probation and Dismissal

A graduate student admitted on probation should register and maintain course grades of "B" and a GPA of 3.0 within two consecutive semesters of enrollment. 

A graduate student may be placed on academic probation, if he/she does not maintain a GPA of 3.0.

A graduate student on probation may register for a maximum of 6 credits the following semester.

A graduate student on probation is dismissed from the program if:

  • The probation status is not removed within a period of two semesters during which the student is registered.
  • The student fails the thesis/ project defense twice.
