Nadine Abou Maachar

Nadine Bou Maachar has been a teacher with over twenty-two years of experience. She was born in Mount Lebanon, and graduated from the American University of Technology. She holds a degree of Bachelor of Communications in journalism, and a Master’s Degree in Education (Teaching English as Second Language). When she had earned her first certificate of Proficiency in English language, she had successfully completed the fifth year of English language at the American Lebanese Beirut center: International House Lebanon. There, she met the United States Information Service standards of oral and written English at the advanced level. Consequently, she realized the importance of teaching. She has been teaching at schools, educational centers, colleges, and universities. In addition, she has attended many effective workshops because she believes in self-development.

At The Holy University Kaslik, USEK, Nadine was trained to be a teacher and acquired essential subject knowledge and familiarity with the principles of effective teaching. In addition, she demonstrated her practical skills for teaching English to secondary learners when she was the coordinator at Catholic schools. After that, she was hired to work for the United States Embassy in Lebanon through “Hayya Bina” organization to take a role in the Teach Women English project as an instructor. Therefore, the United States embassy has given her a certificate of recognition, stating that Nadine has demonstrated outstanding commitment in innovation, practical methodologies, and adaptability in the classroom.

Nadine is an accredited instructor by CELTA, and acquired the possibility to work in a variety of English teaching contexts around the world.
