Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) celebrated its 30th annual Founders’ Day between May 11 and May 12, 2017.
NDU President Fr. Walid Moussa launched the celebrations on May 11 with his annual address, which touched upon NDU’s history and the University vision for a bigger and brighter future. Fr. Moussa talked about “changes in the curricula, teaching methods, and specializations to help NDU students keep pace with globalization, Lebanese labor market needs, technology, and the latest developments in education to ensure that they graduate fully prepared to embark on their chosen career paths.” He also added that NDU was planning to build a hospital, as part of its visionary strategic plan.”
Fr. Moussa said that the University must continue to maintain its "national dimension, as a University for all Lebanon... and continue to embrace its moderate religious dimension."
Following Fr. Moussa’s speech, a documentary prepared by the Event Services at NDU was screened. The documentary highlighted the unique NDU story and revealed the notable figures who had visited the campus over the course of the last 30 years.
On the second day of celebrations, May 12, the Students Activities Office at NDU organized with the clubs and students an evening in the open area titled, “From a Legendary Past to a Rising Future.” Various public figures were honored on that day by NDU.
The celebrations would not be complete without thanking the Virgin Mary, Mother of NDU, for her permanent presence in the life of our distinguished University.
