The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) at NDU-Shouf Campus invited the YASA team on May 18, 2017 to deliver a presentation on Driving Ethics. The importance of the topic rose from the increase in road accidents claiming the lives of youths on Lebanese roads every day.
The two YASA guest speakers spoke of the importance of road safety rules in the prevention of accidents, road injuries and deaths. Mr. Ziad Akl, Director and Founder of YASA, emphasized the necessity of using seatbelts and driving safely. He cited the many dangers of speeding and the fatal results of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Mr. Lahoud Lahoud, YASA legal consultant, shared recent statistics on road accidents and the use of mobile phones. He showed how the serious and strict implementation of road safety laws decreased the number of car accident deaths by 25% within the span of three years from 2014 to 2017.
Students attending the lecture shared their concerns and addressed their queries to Mr. Akl and Mr. Lahoud. They showed much interest in the topic and thanked, alongside the NDU-Shouf Campus administration the guest speakers for their time and the information they shared.
