Celebrating the beginning of a new academic year, NDU-Shouf Campus held its traditional opening mass at the Mar Abda Church on September 26, 2016. University President, Fr. Walid Moussa presided with Fr. Hanna Tayar, NDU- SC Director; Fr. Walid Nassif, NDU-SC Chaplain; Fr. Elie Abi Aad, Mar Abda College Principal; and Fr. Dominick Nasr concelebrating.
In his sermon, Fr. Walid Moussa greeted the NDU-SC family - administrators, instructors, staff, and students, wishing them a blessed start for the new academic year. He thanked NDU members for their perseverance and hard work citing the importance of respect, love and hope amid times of political, social and economic turmoil, both in Lebanon and the region. Fr. Moussa commended the efforts that the entire NDU community is putting towards accreditation. In this Year of Mercy, Fr. Moussa asked the Notre Dame of Louaize to guide and protect the university and all its members.
Fr. Hanna Tayar took time by the end of the mass to thank Fr. Moussa, the NDU-SC family and all those present. He wished Fr. Moussa more success for the upcoming academic year emphasizing that with an NDU community that is committed to excellence - academically, civically and socially, NDU can only move forward.
Wishes for a blessed and successful academic year were exchanged ushering in a blissful new beginning for the entire NDU-SC family.
