In the wake of the catastrophic blast that struck Beirut, around 300,000 families have partly or fully lost their homes and workplaces.
To help with the relief effort, NDU is launching “NDU Bridging Hearts”: a charitable campaign offering support in the form of in-kind donations and on-ground work for those who have been hardest hit.
NDU encourages all our faculty and staff to take part in the following lines of support:
1. Donating non-perishable foods (cans, rice, pasta, etc.) and water.
2. Donating everyday household items (shampoo, soap, detergents, cleaning equipment, etc.).
3. Donating clothes and with the following requirements: the donated clothes need to be clean, in good condition, and sorted in bags according to the intended age and gender. Gender and age should be mentioned on each bag.
4. Helping on-ground in partnership with the Maronite Archdiocese of Beirut in collaboration with Maronite Patriarchal Youth Department.
All donations should be dropped off at the Student Affairs Office Conference Room for NDU Faculty, Staff, and Students, while the broader community should drop off their donations with the main security booth.

بعد الإنفجار الكارثي الذي ضرب بيروت، حيث فقدت حوالي ٣٠٠ ألف أسرة منازلها وأماكن عملها جزئيّاً أو كليّاً، وكجزءٍ من رسالة جامعة سيّدة اللويزة، نحثّكم ونشجّعكم جميعاً، أساتذة وموظفين، للمشاركة في حملةNDUBridgingHearts # وهي حملة خيريّة ترتكز على التالي:
١التبرّع بالأغذية غير القابلة للتّلف (المعلّبات والأرز والمعكرونة والمياه وغيرها...)
٢ التبرّع بمواد حياتيّة (الشامبو والصابون ومعدّات التّنظيف...)
٣ التبرّع بملابس وأدوات منزلية وبالأخصّ المطبخيّة (أغطية، ملاءات، وسادات...): الملابس المتبرَّع بها يجب أن تكون نظيفة وبحالة جيّدة ومرتّبة بالأكياس مع تعريبها بشكلٍ ظاهر ومحدّد وذكر الجنس والعمر على كل حقيبة.
٤ المساعدة والتطوّع على الأرض بالشراكة مع مطرانية بيروت للموارنة، ومكتب راعويّة الشبيبة في الدائرة البطريركيّة المارونيّة.
للأساتذة، الموظفون والطلاب، يرجى إيداع التبرعات في مكتب شؤون الطلاب – قاعة الإجتماعات، أما التبرعات من خارج أسرة الجامعة فنقطة الإيداع عند أمن الجامعة.
