NDU BS PROGRAM IN COMPUTER SCIENCE FULLY AND OFFICIALLY ACCREDITED BY ABET

The Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences (FNAS) is pleased to announce that its BS Program in Computer Science has been officially and fully accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.

This accreditation applies to all NDU campuses and extends retroactively from October 1, 2016.

On this occasion, the Vice President of Academic Affairs at NDU, Dr. Elie Badr stated, “ This accreditation is yet another feather in the hat of the Computer Science Department, and another milestone for the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences as a whole. This accreditation speaks loud, with no uncertain terms, about the quality of education at NDU. To that end, we affirm our steadfast commitment to excellence across all our curricula and against all odds. This achievement is a clear signal that NDU dedicates sufficient resources to accomplish its mission, and at the core of it all is the welfare of our students.”

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences, Dr. George Eid, declared that this achievement clearly demonstrates a commitment to educational improvement in relation to NDU’s mission.

Congratulations to the Computer Science Department, FNAS and to NDU for this great achievement and a well-deserved success.
