DEAN OF THE FBAE SELECTED AS A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC BOARD OF EXPONENTIAL EDUCATION

November 17, 2020 – Dr. Viviane Naimy, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), has been selected as a member of the International Academic Board of Exponential Education (IABEE). With this nomination, Dr. Naimy joins three Nobel Prize winners – Edward Prescott, Finn Kydland, and Thomas Sargent – and 25 other scholars and professionals from around the world to advise and educate on all matters related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

ESG criteria are used by socially-conscious investors and shareholders to screen “socially responsible” investment plans that can generate a positive impact on the world. With the rise of the “responsible investment” movement with regard to pollution prevention and control, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable water, clean transportation, environmentally sustainable management, eco-efficient and/or circular economy, etc., consideration of ESG becomes a fundamental part of each firm’s duty.

Dr. Naimy’s position on the IABEE further strengthens NDU’s position as a university with social responsibility and sustainable practices at all levels of faculty and administration in conformity with its mission.
