May 2, 2019 – The Department of Management and Marketing, and the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) held the annual CSR-HR conference. This year’s theme, “Scouts in Business,” had high profile speakers from a variety of different companies and NGOs discuss how their time in the Scouts had an impact on their careers.
Christine Kamar, Head of Global Commercial Management at the international telecommunications firm Ericsson; Emilie Bassil El Feghaly, Head of the Legal Department – Middle East, India & Africa, at the IT firm SITA; Pierre Zoghbi, Director of International Affairs, at the Lebanese smoke salmon company Bleumer; and Robin Richa, Managing Director, at the Lebanese NGO Arc En Ciel, all shared their stories on how the lessons and principles learned in the Scouts impacted their business careers and brought greater value to their business lives.
The group discussed how the Scouts’ emphasis on team spirit and leadership, along with many other interpersonal skills have solid HR dimensions, which has enabled them to develop their careers in unprecedented ways.
