A golden moment for this year was graduating 1,282 students who have now joined NDU’s alumni family. During the commencement ceremony that took place on the 11th of July, the guest of honor Mr. Carlos Ghosn stated: “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”
NDU President, Reverend Father Walid Moussa then delivered a speech telling the graduates how proud he was of them for being the face of NDU and asking them to lift their heads up and rely solely on God.
Mr. Suheil Matar, Vice-President of Public Affairs and Communications talked about the painful reality Lebanon is struggling with, and how we have a very special obligation in this very difficult time. He also offered congratulations and appreciation to the graduating students and their parents.
The valedictorian speech for the class of 2016 was delivered by James Karam, a Fulbright Scholarship recipient who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Sciences and a Minor in Finance, with a 4.0 GPA.
Congratulations, class of 2016!
