The Architecture Department at Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture Arts and Design (FAAD) at NDU is participating in the Beirut Urban Declaration (BUD) universities’ exhibition at Beit Beirut from Saturday 11th till 21st of December.
Launched in the aftermath of August 4th tragic port explosion, the BUD is the result of joint academic efforts and dialogue that bring seven major Lebanese universities together with the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut.
Students from Architecture Design V (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) and Architecture Design VI (Fall 2020), under the guidance of their respective instructors Mr. Paul Moawad, Dr. Hani Zgheib, and Dr. Nadine Hindi, are exhibiting their projects that were inspired and thematically related to the Port explosion.
The exhibition was launched on Saturday 11th with opening words of the different university representatives, Ms. Layla Jabbour (member of the founding committee of BUD) spoke on behalf of the Architecture department.
On Friday, December 17th (4:00-6:00pm), as part of the exhibition’s academic activities, a round table moderated by Dr. Karen Abou Jaoudeh, Chairperson of the Architecture department, will discuss and highlight major contributions of faculty members, students, and alumni to the topic at hand.
