The Department of Architecture at the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) cordially invites you to attend an engaging lecture titled "Vision Ahead Series: Urbicide – The Future of Our Cities." This lecture is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Abou Khater Auditorium.

The lecture will be presented by Layla Jabbour, an esteemed architect, restorer, and senior lecturer at NDU’s Department of Architecture. With her extensive expertise, Jabbour will explore the concept of urbicide—the destruction of urban spaces—and its critical impact on the future of our cities. This thought-provoking session aims to offer valuable insights into how urban spaces are being transformed, preserved, and at times, erased in the name of progress.

We invite all those interested in urban planning, architecture, and the future of cities to join this important discussion. Click on the Teams link to join the conversation.
