The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), in partnership with the University's Astronomy Club and under the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, is pleased to host a Public Observing Night on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Farid and Moussa Raphael Observatory.

This academic outreach initiative aims to engage the broader community in the observational sciences by offering the rare opportunity to explore celestial bodies through the largest telescope in Lebanon. Attendees will observe the Moon, Jupiter, and additional astronomical objects of interest, guided by expert astrophysicists who will provide scientific commentary and respond to public inquiries. This event underscores the University's ongoing commitment to promoting scientific literacy and public engagement in the field of astronomy. Open to all, the event is designed to foster curiosity, encourage dialogue, and inspire future explorations of the cosmos.
