In partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut, the School of Music at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU-SOM) has been offering the pipe organ class since October 2015, under the direction of Maestro Cosimo Prontera.
Being the sole organ program in Lebanon and the MENA region, this class grants the exclusive opportunity to the lovers of this monumental instrument to follow a comprehensive program that meets the international guidelines and requirements, and craft their instrument-learning without having to leave their country and undergo the costs of living abroad. It is important to mention that the generous yet vital support of the Italian Cultural Institute, since 2015, has been fundamental to the continuity of this unique project.
Cosimo Prontera is the Organ and Organ Composition teacher at the Gesualdo da Venosa Conservatory in Italy, as well as founder and director of the baroque orchestra, La Confraternita Dei Musici.
