May 12, 2021 – The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) at Notre Dame University-Louaize would like to congratulate accounting alumna Lise Medawar (BBA’18) for winning three awards in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Lise attained the highest mark by a student in Lebanon and the Middle East on her Advanced Financial Management (AFM) exam in December as well as the highest mark in Lebanon on her Advanced Performance Management exam (APM) back in September, and she now holds the ACCA Membership Certificate as well.

The FBAE would also like to congratulate accounting alumna Maria Al Naddaf (BBA’20) for successfully completing the ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM) along with fellow alumna Alondra Mady (BBA’20) who passed the Strategic Business Leader exam as well.

“ACCA offers me worldwide recognition supported by top employers in the industry,” said Medawar. “The APM material was provided to me online which gave me flexibility while studying. The highlight of this journey is belonging to a community of professionals which partakes in the same values and vision.”

“The ACCA Ethics Module gave me a vivid picture of how people should behave in order to perform the correct task while preventing any fraud,” said Mady. “It also enriched several professional skills, such as leadership, communication, and commercial awareness. I highly advise every student to complete the ACCA ethics module in order to picture, understand, and know how to react to real life situations ethically.”

Maria Al Naddaf echoed her fellow alumni’s sentiments, saying, “ACCA is a good choice of certificate to help fresh accountants have a better look on the professional ethical world. I completed the EPSM and am eager to continue my other ACCA qualifications and become a proud member of this community.”
