THE NDU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS AT THE NDU MAIN CAMPUS

THE NDU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS AT THE NDU MAIN CAMPUS
The NDU Alumni Association, currently headed by Mr. Elie Hanna as President, organized a gathering at the NDU main campus with the support of the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Support, Dr. Simon Abou Jaoude and Director of the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, Ms. Nesrine Sfeir, in the presence of the NDU President, Fr. Bechara Khoury, Vice-Presidents, deans, administrators, faculty members, and alumni.

In celebration of Christmas, this get-together aimed to highlight the important and sustainable role the association plays in bridging the relationship between the alumni and the University.  This strong relationship extends beyond graduation as it helps underline the unshakable sense of belonging while highlighting key alumni successes.

NDU President, Fr. Khoury presided over the mass with the support of the Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Abbot Semaan Bou Abdo and Fr. Georges Debli.

In his homily, Fr. Khoury stated, “The University represents the first act of opposition against evil, lying, and oppression and all those who do not have the country’s best interest at heart.”

He also focused on the importance of supporting and embracing the alumni in their second home and learning from their experiences to continually achieve and progress as an Institution; after all, the alumni success stories and achievements helped put NDU in the spotlight. The thirty-four-year-old journey of hard work and dedication that NDU has partaken helped solidify three main pillars: Institutional accreditation, reputation, and infrastructure.

All attendees later moved to the exhibition hall where the Alumni Association President, Mr. Hanna, raised a toast to thank the University and President Fr. Khoury for continuously opening their doors to welcome the association and the alumni. He added that the association will do its utmost to stand by the University especially in these difficult circumstances and to connect with the alumni wherever they are around the world in line with opening different branch offices in different countries for the association.

He concluded by saying that they are working on a clear action plan that includes numerous initiatives, events, and trainings to help find job opportunities covering the alumni’s various backgrounds and needs.
