Athletic tournaments and games are consequential at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU). For years, sports have been one of the most accessible methods for NDU students to unleash their athletic potentials.
Under the supervision of the Department of Athletics at NDU, 16 teams competed (Basketball Men, Basketball Women, Rugby Men, Chess, Swimming, Table Tennis for men and women, Volley Ball Badminton Taekwondo, Judo, Athletics, Table Tennis for men and women , Futsal and Shooting Sport) in the Uni-League Tournament and the international Lebanese University Sports Federation (FSUL) Championships, which are the Qualifications for World University Games (the Universiade), taking place from March 2017 till May 2017 in Taipei. In fact, 2017 marks NDU’s quarter -century involvement in this athletic activity.
“Be part, share, and enjoy,” said Elias Boutros, senior officer, Office of Student Affairs (SAO) at NDU. He added that for several years, NDU has been the leader among other Lebanese universities participating in such tournaments simply because the coaches at NDU are the best at what they do, and they have an uncanny ability to bring out the best in students.
Amidst star athletes, cheering crowds, and proud parents, NDU students achieved remarkable results.
