The Graduate Division in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) recently officially became the first Project Management Institute Registered Education Provider (PMI R.E.P.) in Lebanon, offering courses at the graduate level.
During the induction ceremony, PMI Regional Mentor Dr. Claude Khalil said, “We are gathered here today to announce NDU as an official PMI R.E.P. for graduate courses, Project Management Emphasis.”
For her part, Lebanon Chapter PMI President Gretta Kelzi discussed the importance of the Project Management Professional (PMP), as a globally acknowledged professional certification that validates a professional’s education and experience in project management. This coveted credential is offered by the reputed PMI to professionals who qualify in the PMP PMI-conducted exam.
She also added that the PMI Lebanon Chapter is a non-profit organization founded in 2005. It provides support and applies engagement in the field of continuing education and self-improvement for current and future project managers in Lebanon while promoting the community of PMI Lebanon chapter to foster its grow and evolution.
The PMI R.E.P. program establishes a global network of qualified education providers for professionals seeking PMI certification and for PMI-certified professionals seeking to maintain their certification by earning Professional Development Units (PDUs). Being an R.E.P. signifies that an institution/organization has been approved by PMI based on quality standards to administer training and issue PDUs to PMI certification holders.
