Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) signed with the Lebanese American University (LAU) on July 24, 2018, at LAU Byblos campus, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on educational, training, and research cooperation. In attendance were Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at NDU Dr. Fadi Karaa, incoming Interim Dean Dr. Viviane Naimy, LAU President Dr. Jospeh Jabbra, Dean of the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB) Dr. Said Ladki, Assistant Provost for Special External Projects Dr. Wassim Shahin as well as NDU and LAU department chairs.
In his welcome address, Dr. Jabbra stressed the importance of this cooperation between both institutions, which will serve to exchange educational training and/or research activities. He reiterated that the MoU was the first step of many.
For his part, Dr. Karaa discussed the importance of the MoU and the broad prospects that it sets in dealing with different situations. Dr. Naimy emphasized the unwavering commitment to high quality education at the FBAE and noted the strong long-standing cooperation between both institutions, especially with the participation of LAU students in competitions organized at NDU and the participation of LAU Faculty in the conference series initiated at NDU since 2015.
Dr. Ladki summarized the work of the AKSOB and highlighted the common interests between NDU and LAU.
