Notre Dame University-Louaize North Lebanon Campus (NDU-NLC), received on November 5, 2018, two Lebanese stars from “Thawrat Alfallahin,” television series, Aimee Sayyah and Bassem Moughnieh, who added a touch of joy and love to the campus.
This production tells the story of the farmer's revolution against the Feudalists, led by Tanyus Shahin from 1858 to 1860. Hence, NDU-NLC Campus Director, Fr. Francois Akl welcomed the guests and presented an overview of the Lebanese historical events of that era.
For her part, Assistant Professor at the Department of Media Studies – Faculty of Humanities (FH) and moderator Dr. Rita Sayyah, introduced the guests who are currently performing as main actors in the Lebanese drama “Thawret Al fellahin”. The actors presented a brief about the work and what it takes to make it a success and about their experience as actors, at large.
The get-together concluded with a discussion. The artistic and cultural values of the work were highlighted, and a feeling of hope for a promising future for the Lebanese drama prevailed.
In the end, the host and the guests wished each other more success in their future endeavors.
