Since its first edition back in 2007, the main mission of NDU International Film Festival was to support young filmmakers in their first steps in building their career; untill today, NDUIFF is still working closely with all concerned parties to empower youth in cinema.
To achieve those objectives, NDUIFF built strong collaborations with different national and international entities, such Governmental and Non-governmental organizations, international festivals, private associations, and others.
The latest initiative of youth empowerment taken by NDUIFF was the launching of Msparks, the first and one of a kind private funding program for Lebanese filmmakers who are producing their 2nd or 3rd short film.
As a result, NDUIFF won in 2015, the national Social Economic Award for Youth Empowerment.
