Sara Almokdad, BA

She has a BA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Notre Dame University (NDU). She is currently a Research Assistant at the Lebanese Emigration Research Center (LERC) of Notre Dame University-Louaizé. Since 2006, she has been helping to administer survey questionnaires to a sample of the population for two studies: Insecurity, Migration and Return: The Case of Lebanon Following the Summer 2006 War and The Lebanese Perception of Germany: the Germans' Participation in the UNIFIL. She also researched and profiled Lebanese painters and painters of Lebanese descent for the first modern international exhibition on Lebanese migration. She has also researched and profiled successful and professional Lebanese emigrants particularly those who are from Saida and Al Rihane regions for a joint Relief International and LERC project on linking emigrants with developmental efforts in their villages. She also monitored and documented the activities of the Lebanese political parties in mobilizing Lebanese emigrants to vote in the parliamentary elections of 2009.
