Mechanical Engineering students are highly active at all levels, from departmental to faculty levels and even beyond to university level. They participate in official activities and organize their own ones through their clubs. Indeed, two students branches of international learning societies are operating within the premise of the mechanical engineering department:
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) - NDU Branch
- American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) - NDU Branch
The ME students are also an entire part of the university life as a whole, and as such they participate in all university activities, be it of engineering nature or not. Such a behavior closely reflects their formation, which involves both technical and non technical matters.
