Carina Khoury Ghossoub

Carina Khoury Ghossoub is a Clinical Dietitian and an Eating disorder practitioner.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree (BS) in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics in the year 2013 from Notre Dame University (NDU) in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon.

In the past 3 years, Carina attended various training programs for Eating Disorders and the treatment of obesity and training in Enhanced Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of Eating Disorders -CBT-E, as well as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for the Treatment of Obesity- CBT-OB.

In 2018 she joined the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, ACPN based in Dubai-UAE, as part of the CBT-E accredited specialized multi-disciplinary out-patient Eating Disorders and Obesity program (center for CBT-E excellence). The program is currently under the supervision of Dr Riccardo Dalle Grave (Department of Eating and Weight Disorder, Villa Garda Hospital, Italy) co-developer of CBT-E and CBT-OB.
Along with her team, they have successfully helped children, adolescents and adults recover from their eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge-eating, ARFID, picky eating…) and overcome their obesity.

As a clinical dietitian, she counsels and educates patients providing individualized nutritional treatment tailored to achieve physical and psychological recovery, establish healthy long-term dietary habits, and an active adoption of a healthy lifestyle.

She has taken on dietary habit advocacy and awareness as an active part of her role by giving talk shows and presentations among mothers in nurseries, schools, and corporations.
