Layal M. Rajha

Lebanese Director Layal M. Rajha is most notable for her two feature films “Habbet Loulou” and most recent “Chi Yom Rah Fell” where her artistic visions are put to use in making a lasting impression on Lebanese cinema. She was born August 16th 1984 in Beirut, Lebanon, as the only child of Miled and Rose Rajha.

In 2002 she attended Notre Dame University – Louaize and earned a BA degree in communication Arts Radio/TV and film with a focus on directing and scriptwriting. In 2006 she achieved a Master’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations, graduating with distinction. She also attended workshops in ‘Communication and Leadership’ at the May Chidiac Foundation.

Following her graduation, she directed numerous music videos which were a stepping stone for her true calling: directing feature films. In 2013, Layal released her debut film “Habbet Loulou” which became number one in the Lebanese box office for that year. Following the success of her first feature film, Layal Rajha released “Chi Yom Rah Fell” in 2015. Her future goals are simple: continue to direct quality movies that will touch many hearts not only in Lebanon, but worldwide. Layal is currently studying for another Master’s Degree in Film Directing at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).
