Johnny Ibrahim

Lebanese Ambassador Johnny Ibrahim earned in 1991 from NDU a BA in Business Administration and a MA in Business Administration: International Affairs and Diplomacy in 1994. He also holds a Master of Diplomacy earned from the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies, Malta; a Master in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), France; and an Advanced Studies in Public International Law and International Criminal Law Specialization (LL.M) from Leiden University, The Netherlands.

He joined the Foreign Service in 1996, and was assigned to the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the Office of the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, the Embassy of Lebanon to the Netherlands, and the Consulate General of Lebanon in Los Angeles. He currently serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lebanon to Argentina.  

During his studies at NDU, he contributed to the establishment of the University Lebanese Red Cross Club, the International Relations Club, and the Environment Club. He further participated in the drafting of the NDU Alumni Association constitution and bylaws, and was one of its founding members. He is also member of the University Board of Trustees (BOT), and member of the American Society of International Law (ASIL).

He is married to Maya Nehme, and together they have three children. Yara, 19, studying History of Arts and Archeology at the American University of Rome;  Anthony, 18, an Economics student at Syracuse University, New York; and Mona Lisa, a 6th grader, attending Lincoln School in Buenos Aires.
