Charbel Nassar

Charbel Nassar was born in Ballouneh, Lebanon. He is a Lebanese-Moldovan career diplomat currently working at the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants. He graduated from NDU in 2008 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Influenced by the career of his father as honorary consul of the Republic of Moldova in Lebanon, he was keen to expand his knowledge in the field of international relations. He graduated in 2015 with an MA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from NDU.

In addition to his native tongue (Arabic), he is fluent in Romanian, English, French, and Spanish. Interested in providing support to the Moldovan community in Lebanon and promoting the cultural ties between both countries, he successfully presided over the Lebanese-Moldovan Friendship Association. In 2016, he joined the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, and within the framework of the Lebanese Diaspora Energy (LDE), he is currently assisting the organizing committee in the preparation of LDE conferences aiming to promote Lebanon as a focal point of interest to both its citizens and diaspora.
