Program Overview

This wireless technologies summer program in Lebanon offers high school students the opportunity to visit the NDU campus and explore the exciting fields of wireless technologies, including 5G, radar, stealth, and antenna design. Participants will engage in hands-on experiments and projects while building their knowledge in these cutting-edge areas.

Students will have access to NDU’s state-of-the-art Engineering Labs, where they will work in teams to tackle practical projects and gain valuable experience in wireless communication and related fields. The program features lectures and experimental presentations by NDU faculty members, along with guest speakers who are experts in the field, offering valuable insights and sharing their experiences.

This program is an excellent opportunity to explore 5G technologies and radar systems, while also discovering potential career opportunities in the rapidly evolving wireless technologies industry.

Participants 

  • Open to high school students (Grades 10 and 11)
  • Priority will be given to students with high academic performance
  • Maximum of six (6) students per school

 

Outcomes for Participants

By the end of the program, participants will: 
  • Gain hands-on experience in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  • Develop problem-solving and teamwork skills while working in a STEM-focused environment.
  • Learn about wireless technologies and their applications in real-world scenarios.
  • Gain practical experience with Matlab programming.
  • Build and test antennas in the state-of-the-art Anechoic Chamber.
  • Learn about the Electrical, Computer, and Communication Engineering majors at NDU.
  • Improve their communication, collaboration, and presentations skills.

 

Trainer Profiles

  • Dr. Elias Nassar is a Professor of Electrical, Computer, and Communication Engineering at Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon.
  • Aline Siranossian is an AI and Robotics Specialist at Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon.

 

Certificate of Attendance

All participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance on the final day of the program, distributed by the Faculty of Engineering.
