Program Overview

This music summer program in Lebanon is designed to develop musical skills, explore various genres, and provide cultural and historical perspectives on music. Through interactive sessions, hands-on practice, and discussions, participants will enhance their musical knowledge and performance abilities.

The program offers an excellent opportunity to study music in Lebanon, helping students improve their musical talents while gaining a deeper appreciation for music from diverse cultures and historical contexts. Whether you’re looking to refine your skills or simply explore the world of music, this program will offer you a solid foundation for future musical endeavors.

 

Program Scope

Skill Development: Enhancing abilities in instrument playing, vocal techniques, music theory, solfeggio, and improvisation.

Exploration of Musical Genres: Introducing participants to classical, jazz, pop, rock, folk, world music, and experimental music.

Instrument Exploration: Providing hands-on experience with a variety of musical instruments.

Cultural & Historical Perspectives: Understanding musical traditions, composers, and movements through lectures, discussions, and listening

 

Participants 

  • Open to high school students (Grades 11, and 12)

 

Outcomes for Participants

By the end of the program, participants will: 
  • Develop and refine their musical skills.
  • Gain confidence through hands-on practice and performance.
  • Explore various music genres and instruments to identify their preferred specialization.
  • Acquire knowledge of musical history and traditions.
  • Make informed decisions about potential university music majors.

 

Trainer Profiles

  • All trainers are full-time and part-time faculty members at Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon.

 

Certificate of Attendance

All participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance on the final day of the program, distributed by the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design.
