Information Technology and Human Rights - POS 658
Technological
developments in the field of information and
communication (ICT) have had a tremendous
impact on the field of human rights. This
course will emphasize the significance of these changes with respect to freedom of expression, access to information, and
protection against undue intrusion in the
private sphere. It will also highlight the
impact of ICT on protection of cultural rights
and innovations in the economic and social
fields, including economic opportunities
for marginalized groups and regions.
Prerequisite: POS 602.
