Inorganic Chemistry I - CHM 326
This course covers atomic structure,
chemical bonding (MOT), molecular
geometry (VSEPR model), solid state (metals, ionic, covalent molecules), crystal
field theory, symmetry and point group,
acid-base concepts, e.m.f. diagram and its
uses, chemistry of selected main group
and transition elements with emphasis on
physical properties and their applications in
industrial chemistry. Prerequisite: CHM 211.
