Astrophysics of Galaxies - AST 603
This course focuses on the anatomy of
the Milky Way: disk, bulge, globular clusters,
ISM, rotation curve, spiral structure, as well
as, Hubble tuning fork, spirals, ellipticals,
irregulars, formation and evolution, and active
galaxies. Prerequisite: AST 601.
