Instruments and Techniques in Astrophysics - AST 604
This course
covers software and numerical methods in
astronomy, telescope optics, aberrations and
characterization. The various designs that will
be studied include: Newtonian, Cassegrain,
Schmidt, Ritchey-Chretien, etc; and the optics
of instrumentation will be: spectrograph,
polarimeter, spectropolarimeter, etc; elements
of optical design and instrumentation.
