Mathematics for Computer Games and Animation - MAT 227

This course provides a conceptual understanding of the mathematics that forms the underlying basis of 3D graphics and games. It includes a focused review of different mathematical topics in calculus, algebra and numerical methods that are required in the design of game engines and 3D graphics. This course provides not only theoretical mathematical background, but also many examples and exercises on how these concepts are used to affect how a game looks and plays. Prerequisite: MAT 215.
