Principles of Financial Management I - BAF 311
The purpose of this course is to introduce the concepts of planning, controlling, and monitoring financial resources to achieve and optimize organizational objectives. Topics covered include cash flow calculations, financial statement analysis, the time value of money, stock and bond valuation, capital budgeting techniques, the risk–return trade-off, and the security market line. For Financial Engineering and Banking and Finance students, the passing grade is “C.” Prerequisites: ACO 201 and STA 220, or ACO 201 and STA 210, and MAT 325; or ACO 201 and MAT 326.
