Marwan Kanaan

Experienced, constantly passionate and self-motivated marketer with more than 14 years of experience in various industries from fashion and retail, F&B, and FMCG.

As an NDU honor graduate with a BBA and MBA degree in Business Marketing, Marwan’s career has started in the fashion and retail industry including 2 years in Jordan with AISHTI. Shifting to the F&B industry, he occupied a senior communication position with Breakfast & Co (Zaatar W Zeit) where he successfully launched the loyalty program, initiating the local store marketing concept, and launching full new brand identity.

Another career milestone was in the distribution industry (modern and traditional channels) as Sales and Marketing Manager in Transmed for 5 years which offered a huge career boost through handling and leading top international CPG brands in the Lebanese market. Prospecting and negotiating with potential suppliers to represent their brands in the Lebanese market was a great pillar in widening my network in addition to my presence in international exhibitions representing the company.

Currently, for the past 5 years, as International Business Development Manager (export) at Lebanese Roasting Group (Castania, Barista espresso, Café Daniel) Marwan have developed advanced knowledge in aligning processes to business objectives, working collaboratively with export partners to proactively define their needs, best cater to their requests, and reply to business inquiries. He has acquired time management skills in managing multiple agendas simultaneously while prioritizing work. Marwan has conducted competitive intelligence, pricing, analyzing market trends, and customer needs research to capture growth opportunities. Moreover, his recent position is allowing him to deal with multinational environment and understand different markets needs and provide solutions that best fit their demands. Additionally, Marwan have developed product centric promotional campaigns in different markets which positively affected our partners sales growth and share and contributed to improving our overall group growth and brands positioning. Additionally, managing the e-commerce operation in parallel with online activations and campaigns have been on his responsibility list as well.  

Marwan have attended numerous training and workshops from project, time and stress management to leadership, coaching, and selecting and recruiting. 

Since 2010, he has been passionately lecturing Marketing and Management courses as a part-time instructor at NDU-DCE with full appreciation and encouragement for continuous learning and education.
