Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts - Radio & Television

The program will prepare students to:

1. 1.Lead a productive career in the various areas of the field;
2. 2.Apply the theoretical, practical, and technical skills in radio, television and film in the industries;
3. 3.Employ creative talents and innovative skills in their chosen field;
4. 4.Act ethically as media professionals; and
5. 5.Pursue graduate studies in radio, television, and film research.

Upon graduation, students should be able to:

1. 1.Demonstrate knowledge of television and film creation and production as a craft and as a collaborative process;
2. 2.Analyze and interpret audio-visual content through the perspectives of various theoretical frameworks;
3. 3.Use written, oral, and visual communication skills to communicate information and ideas;
4. 4.Acquire in-depth knowledge of the world film industry;
5. 5.Recognize how media can be used as a tool to promote public engagement in current issues;
6. 6.Produce media productions including directing, cinematography, editing, lighting, and sound; and
7. 7.Evaluate the power and effectiveness of communication technologies and its ability to function as agents of social change.
