PALMA is announcing a Special Issue on Education to be published by the end of the academic year.
Thus, PALMA editorial board is soliciting articles for the forthcoming issue. We are interested in receiving academic papers/articles that revolve around (but not restricted to) the following topics:
- University education and society (Citizenry – Usefulness – Efficiency)
- Humanizing education (Human rights – Ethics – Values – Culture)
- Critical thinking across curriculum
- Global curriculum (Relation to globalization, student mobility, faculty exchange, etc.)
- Interactive learning
- Learning for life
- Innovation in teaching/learning strategies – Applied educational research
- Cultural awareness and adaptability
- Incorporating technology in education (e-learning - Distance learning – etc.)
- Transfer skills (Equipping students for the workplace – Internship benefits – etc.)
Interested scholars should send an abstract (200-250 words) no later than March 12th 2010 to the editorial board on: palma@ndu.edu.lb. Accepted papers will have to be submitted no later than May 7th, 2010. Submissions may be written in English or Arabic. An article must not exceed 30 pages (following the specified PALMA format).
Researchers who are going to submit a paper in Arabic should also submit an abstract in English for indexed purposes.
