On Saturday, June 5, 2010, the NDU-SC family hosted NDU-NLC family and they enjoyed a long blessed gleeful day. The day started by welcoming NDU-NLC staff members on Campus followed by a coffee break during which snacks were served and staff members got acquainted with each other. Then, the Director, Fr. Boutros Bou Nassif, invited everyone to a Campus Tour during which every NDU-SC staff member gave a brief overview of his/her job and office location.

After the tour, a short meeting was held in the Conference Room in which Fr. Bou Nassif welcomed Fr. Samir Ghsoub, Fr. Roger Chikri and Fr. Jean Abou Chrouch and the whole NLC family.

Fr. Ghsoub expressed his gratitude for being invited to the Shouf Campus and his happiness for being among this family. He said also that he was impressed by the beauty of the Campus and that NLC staff members had been so excited about that visit.

Then everyone moved to the Monastery. Fr. Bou Nassif told the history of the Mar Abda Monastery and he toured with the NLC and SC staff the monastic gardens showing them the precious old items that he had preserved. A mass was held in Mar Abda Church where both university families gathered to pray and receive God’s blessings and exchange their wishes for peace.

After the mass, a lunch was held in Yammine Restaurant in Nabeh Al Safa where the NDU families celebrated together and spent a happy and memorable time. The most beautiful thing about that day was that everyone was spontaneous and friendly. The two families were one heart and one mind wishing that this day would recur and that this special bond between the North and the Shouf Campuses would last forever.
