The annual Open Doors Event at NDU-SC took place this year on April 9, 2010. This has become a day for everyone to be at their best to welcome high school students from all over the Shouf area and Saida, with their teachers, administrators and even their parents, who would like to meet with faculty members in their areas of academic interest, attend a financial aid information session, or tour the campus to experience the NDU-SC multicultural community.
On that busy day, faculty, staff, and students representing each of the 5 academic faculties available at NDU-SC were ready to answer all the questions about the different programs and services available. All the academic areas had their facilities open for everyone to visit while on campus. Moreover, University support services and student clubs were also represented with displays, live bands and fun activities for everyone to take part in.
Student ushers were the tour guides who gave all the visitors special tours of the campus. They were all smiles and had plenty to tell about their own experiences at NDU-SC.
Twenty-one schools, the equal of around 750 students, participated in this informative day. It was a great success despite the cold weather which did not prevent the students and the guests from sharing a long line of “dabke” together under the drizzling rain!
