Main Campus Staff Members' Visit to the Shouf Campus

When spontaneity, spirituality, love, inspiration, friendship, freedom, creativity and connection gather in one family, it will be the envy of the world!

On Saturday, July 17, 2010, the NDU-SC family got a long-awaited visit from the Main Campus staff members who
expressed their thankfulness and honor to be among this family.
As the guests arrived around 10:15 a.m., led by Fr. Roger Chikri, light refreshments were served and friendly conversations took place.

Fr. Bou Nassif welcomed all the attendees and expressed his happiness at hosting the Main Campus family at the Shouf Campus. He thanked the Lord for giving the NDU family that beautiful day and for blessing the gathering. Afterwards, he invited everybody to a campus tour.

The tour included mainly the university building and the Mar Abda Monastery. After touring the cafeteria, offices, classes, and labs, everyone moved to the conference room where a short meeting took place during which every member introduced himself/herself to the audience. Thereafter, the campus tour resumed and included the SAO, Director’s office, library, computer center, exam hall and, last but not least, the newly renovated Monastery.

Fr. Bou Nassif explained the history of the Mar Abda Monastery and the renovation work that has been done to it from preserving the ancient items to the restoration of the whole monastery building, making it a separate entity from the University.

A mass was held around 1:00 p.m., where all gathered to pray for peace and for their families’ protection.
After the mass, the NDU family met around a wealthy lunch table at Yammine Restaurant in Nabeh Al Safa, where friendly discussions, laughter, stories and well wishes were exchanged.

All we can say about that day is that: ‘It couldn’t be better! It was a true blessing!’
