Local and national media were present at the opening ceremony of the academic year 2011-2012 at the North Lebanon Campus (NLC) on Monday, October 17, 2011, under the auspices of Father Walid Moussa, President of NDU, Mr. Suheil Matar, Vice-President Cultural Affairs and Public Relations, Father Ziad Antoun, Director of Administration, Father Samir Ghsoub, Director of NLC, and students of NDU.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem and was followed by a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Jean Touma. Father Ghsoub took the podium to deliver his speech and was followed by Mr. Mohsen Yamine, Media Researcher. Father Moussa ended the ceremony with an inspiring speech.
The NLC ceremony was the special focus of all national newspapers such as An-Nahar, Al-Mustaqbal, Al-Anwar, Al-Balad, Al-Joumhouria, Al-Sharq, and Al-Liwaa, as well as national and international broadcast TV channels such as MTV, OTV, LBC, TL, NBN, Al-Manar, and Al-Mustaqbal. Local media coverage included newspapers and magazines such as Haramoon, Al-Tamaddon, Al-Adib, Al-Wifak, Al-Inshaa, Tripoli Post, and Shabab News.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to attend a lunch organized by NDU.

أقامت جامعة سيّدة اللويزة-فرع الشمال- احتفالاً بمناسبة انطلاق العام الدراسي 2011-2012، كرّمت خلاله الاعلاميين في الشمال، في حضور رئيس جامعة سيّدة اللويزة الأب وليد موسى، مدير فرع الشمال الأب سمير غصوب، نائب رئيس الجامعة الأديب سهيل مطر، المدير الاداري في الجامعة الأب زياد أنطون وحشد من .... الفروع و الكليات و الأساتذة و الاعلاميين والطلاب.
النّشيد الوطني ومن ثمّ كلمة للدكتور جان توما، رحّب فيها بالحضور فكلمة الأب سمير غصوب، الاعلامي الاستاذ محسن يحيي وختاماً كلمة الأب الرئيس وليد موسى.
ومن ثمّ، تمّ توزيع دروعاً تكريمية على كلّ من جريدة النّهار-الأنوار-السفير-البلد-الجمهورية-المستقبل-الشّرق والبيرق. ومن الاعلام المرئي: المستقبل-MTV-LBC-TL-NBN—المنار -OTV- ختاماً بالجرائد المحلية: حرمون-التمدن-الأديب-الانشاء- الرقيب- الوفاق- شباب News وطرابلس post  .
بعد تكريم الأب وليد موسى، اجتمع الحفل بمأدبة غذاء بحضور جميع الاعلاميين.
