Every year the University waits for the special day that celebrates its foundation, namely Founder’s Day. It celebrates this day with pride, unity, and passion.

This year our University enjoyed itself in a different way.  NLC students brought along friends from outside the University, making sure that they didn’t miss anything. Staff and faculty members also attended to enjoy this special occasion. Father Samir Ghsoub, Director of NDU-NLC, declared the opening of Founder’s Day with a rousing speech. Club presidents introduced their stands’ themes and activities. The Majdera Band performed rock music twice on stage. The Horizon Club executed a stunning motorcycle show. The Social Club carried out a beer competition and offered a prize for the winner and also introduced a new drink. Two professional singers sang “golden oldies” in English, French, and Spanish. Studio el-Fan winner Ghadi, and one-man show Tony Barhush, fired up the atmosphere with students dancing and singing along. The Free Will Club set off a magnificent fireworks show that illuminated the sky. NDU students Cecile Chehadeh and Halim Serhan, presented their talents in music. The Green Club performed a Dabke  presenting our tradition and culture, and there was also a shooting plate competition. Finally, there was a karaoke show created by DJ Cedra.

It has always been and always will be a day to remember for the University, and it is getting better and better every year.

 

كعادتها كلّ سنة، احتفلت جامعة اللويزةNDU  برسا-الكورة بعيد تأسيسها. ولكن هذه السنة، اتّسم الحفل بطابع خاص وبمشاركة كثيفة من كلّ الأندية الطلابية في الجامعة. افتتح مدير الجامعة الأب سمير غصوب العيد بكلمة شكر الى جميع الطلاب لاندفاعهم ومحبتهم للجامعة وهي تحتفل هذه السنة بعيدها ال 24.
أما الأندية الطلابية فكان لكلّ منها نشاط. فنادي الأخضر Green Club    له الدبكة اللبنانبة من تراثنا والرمي في الصحن الطائر. نادي الارادة الحرّة  Free will Club كان نشاطه الرجل الذي يجزف نار والألعاب النارية. نادي الأفقHorizon Club عرض دراجات نارية مع ألعاب بهلوانية، النادي الاجتماعيSocial Club دعى الى مباراة في شرب البيرة مع جائزة للفائز.
ومن ثمّ طوني برهوش من دار الفن والطالبة سيسيل شحادة مع الطالب حليم سرحان في أغاني نالت اعجاب الحاضرين من طلاب وأهالي وجمهور من الأصحاب والمدعوين الذين أتوا خصيصاّ لهذه المناسبة.
على العاشرة مساءً قدّم قالب حلوة رمز المناسبة وانتهت الحفلة عند نصف الليل بجوّ من الفرح والالفة بانتظار السنة المقبلة.
