The Student Cabinet Elections at NDU-SC, planned to take place today, Thursday, December 17, 2009, started at 9:00 am in an atmosphere of fair competition, friendship and mutual respect.

The voting process which is taking place under the close supervision of Brother Abdo Sleiman, Assistant Director of SAO, and the help of Mr. Fadi Khoury, Assistant Registrar and Admissions Officer, will stop at 2:00 pm when the tallying of the votes will start and the results will be announced.

The candidates for the next Student Cabinet are:

Senior Students:
Rabih Ghanem (running alone)
Bassel Bou Nassreddine (heading a complete list)
Lyda Zeineddine (the complete list)
Rima Alloud (the ladies’ list)

Junior Students: 
Mira Bou Kamel (the ladies’ list)
Makram Walieddine (the complete list)
Makram Hamadeh (the complete list)

Sophomore Students:
Ayman Bou Hamdan (the complete list)
Shireen Imad (the complete list)
Petra Narch (the ladies’ list)

* Two representatives from each group will be chosen by their class members.

All the classes are in session, and even though the student voters are all enthusiastic about choosing those who best represent them, the peace and quiet of the day have not been interrupted by any disagreements or complications.

We just have to wait and find out whose slogan affected the students’ opinions most:
“Vote right, vote smart”, Ayman’s, or “I promise to work for you if you promise to vote for me”, Rabih’s, or “The need for change lies somewhere inside you, just dare to make a difference”, the main list’s, or “There is more change in us than there is in your pocket”, the ladies’ list’s!
