An Internship and Placement Orientation was held on November 25, 2009 at NDU – Shouf Campus.

A power point presentation was displayed for the students in order to clarify the procedure and requirements to be followed to apply for internship or placement. This presentation was lectured by Rita Orfali, Internship Officer, and Nathalie Chelala, Placement Officer.

All the Senior students were relieved to hear of the valuable assistance these offices offer to them.  In case of Internship, the procedure was clearly presented and explained starting from filling the application form to updating their CVs and getting recommendation letters from their Chairpersons or Coordinators to making sure they get an evaluation letter from the firms they got the training at and filling up a post internship questionnaire sent to them by the Internship office.

As for the role of the Placement Office, it assists students to get the job they have scanned and found themselves compatible with by receiving the applicant’s CV and forwarding it to the company concerned and then taking the responsibility of following up on the job offer until the student gets it or it is no longer available!

The students enjoyed every minute of the lecture hoping that all the doors to success would be open to them once they graduate!
